Cord For Mac Not Working
CoRD works on Mac OS X 10.5—10.8 and only with Microsoft's Remote Desktop Protocol, also known as Terminal Services. VNC and the built in OS X remote desktop server aren't supported by CoRD. We currently have no plans to add VNC support to CoRD.

Configuring Windows
To configure your Windows host, use one of these guides from Microsoft.

We don't support Mavericks yet. Once we do, we'll announce it on homepage and release it via auto-update.
iOS Users
We don't have plans to port to iOS. There are a few ports in the App Store already, some free, some paid.
